Membership Fees
To dive with us you need to be a member of the club and of BSAC. This table summarises the fees for 1 year.
BSAC fees below are correct from 1 March 2020.

* Associate/Social members are not permitted to dive with the club, and do not require a medical declaration. They do not need to join BSAC as a result.
Our club renewal date is 1 April. If you join after this date, your membership fee will be pro-rata until the next renewal cycle.

Training Costs
If you decide to train with us, there are expenses which you are expected to cover. These costs are approximate, and we will only charge you the cost.

Air Fills | Approximately £4 – £5 per fill (1 fill per open water dive needed, 1 tank lasts 2-3 pool sessions) |
Site Entry | Diving centres often charge an entry fee for divers |
Boat fees | If diving from the boat. Fee covers maintenance and fuel used. |
Your Kit | Basic kit (mask, snorkel) is essential you have your own. You are encouraged to build up your own kit while training to a complete set.
You will definitely need to buy as your training progresses: mask, snorkel, hood, gloves, wet or dry suit. |
How to Join
Contact the membership secretary and they will set you give you instructions on how to sign-up and pay membership fees.
You will be asked to submit a health declaration. Contact the diving officer if you have any questions about your medical fitness to dive before joining.
You may pay annually or in monthly instalments for your membership.

Documentation
Upon joining the club, there are documents that need to be reviewed
- Compulsory for diving members: health declaration
This is done through the BSAC website. A paper version is here and can be submitted to the committee. If you are unsure whether you are medically fit to dive, you should review this document before joining. Contact the diving officer at [email protected] for more information.
- Mailing List: upon joining you will automatically be added to the club mailing list using the email address you provided. If you have an issue with this, contact the membership secretary who can update your details as needed.
